President’s Day – Monday, February 20, 2017

Good day everybody! Just a reminder that Bass Hill Landfill will be OPEN from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm on President’s Day, Monday, February 20.

The Solid Waste office, along with most other County departments, will be CLOSED.

If Bass Hill closes early, the “Weather Closures” portion of our voicemail message will be updated.

Any questions, or to check on weather closures, please call 530-252-1273. Have a good weekend and try to stay as dry as possible!

Transfer Station Closures!

Due to the pending forecast of dangerous weather, both the Herlong and Westwood Transfer Stations will remain CLOSED on Wednesday, January 11, 2017.  Both sites should be open again on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 9 am to 4 pm.

Bass Hill Landfill will be open on Wednesday unless weather and winds make it unsafe to operate.  Please call 530-252-1273 for closure information

Weather & Landfill Operations

The windstorms that we’ve endured the last few days have really wreaked havoc on Landfill Operations. For the most current closures for Landfill and transfer stations, please call our main number at 530-252-1273 and press “2” at any time during the message to hear the “Weather Closure” message. This weather message gets changed when Bass Hill Landfill or one of the Transfer Stations closes early.

Also, Bass Hill Landfill is only closed on major holidays such as Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, etc. The Landfill is open on holidays such as Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, President’s Day, etc.
