Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off Day

Bass Hill Landfill will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Drop Off Day on FRIDAY, MAY 11, 2018.  The event will start at 8:30 am and will end when 350 vehicles have come through or 3:00 pm. Whichever happens first.

This event will allow Lassen County residents to properly dispose of their HHW.  Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any business waste.

FREE Bass Hill Landfill Tire Amnesty Event

Saturday, May 5 is the Spring Tire Amnesty event at Bass Hill Landfill.  Residents may bring up to nine (9) tires per vehicle for free during this event!  This one-day event starts at 8:30 am and goes until 3:00 pm OR until the trailers are full, whichever happens first!

There are some new rules such as no motorcycle, bicycle, or ATV tires.  No tires with cut sidewalls as well.  As always, we will only be accepting tires that are under a 20″ rim size.  So no heavy equipment, semi-truck,  or tractor tires.  Only car or light truck tires with or without rims.

TIRE AMNESTY EVENTS ARE HERE!!

The Lassen Regional Solid Waste Authority is hosting a FREE tire recycling event at the Herlong Transfer Station on Saturday, April 14, 2018! Thanks to a grant from CalRecycle, residents will be able to bring their used tires in for FREE! The event starts at 9:00 am and ends when trailers are full or 3 pm – whichever happens first!!

See the flyer for the details (such as 9 tires per vehicle, unload your tires, no motorcycle/ATV/Heavy Equipment tires, etc)!

Upcoming Tire Events 2018

 Bass Hill Landfill has CLOSED due to high winds as of 2:15 pm today (April 12, 2017).  Bass Hill will re-open tomorrow morning at the regularly scheduled time of 8:30 am.  If you have any questions, please call us at 252-1273.
