Saturday, May 5 is the Spring Tire Amnesty event at Bass Hill Landfill. Residents may bring up to nine (9) tires per vehicle for free during this event! This one-day event starts at 8:30 am and goes until 3:00 pm OR until the trailers are full, whichever happens first!
There are some new rules such as no motorcycle, bicycle, or ATV tires. No tires with cut sidewalls as well. As always, we will only be accepting tires that are under a 20″ rim size. So no heavy equipment, semi-truck, or tractor tires. Only car or light truck tires with or without rims.
Please see our attached flyer for more details or call the Solid Waste office at 530-252-1273.
The Lassen Regional Solid Waste Authority is hosting a FREE tire recycling event at the Herlong Transfer Station on Saturday, April 14, 2018! Thanks to a grant from CalRecycle, residents will be able to bring their used tires in for FREE! The event starts at 9:00 am and ends when trailers are full or 3 pm – whichever happens first!!
See the flyer for the details (such as 9 tires per vehicle, unload your tires, no motorcycle/ATV/Heavy Equipment tires, etc)!
The Herlong Transfer Station will open LATE this morning at 10 am.
Also, today is the LAST Westwood Landfill Day for the season. There will not be a Landfill Day in October. The next Landfill Day will be next April, depending on weather. If you have any questions, please call the Solid Waste Authority office at 252-1273.
